After training as a Home Economist my love of food drew me to the food industry.
I quickly learned the job of a Home Economist is primarily to get information over to customers in a straightforward manner, to interpret complicated information and make it accessible and memorable for the general public. Hence you need to have great communication abilities and be a natural people person. It is these skills that I use to promote my clients brands and products.
I find the ability to speak in public in an interesting, informative and entertaining way is important when talking or demonstrating to groups of people. Different approaches are required for school children and adult interest groups or official organizations. These are skills that I have been able to fine tune with years of practise.
As information is a two way process I provide important, informed reflections and feedback to clients about their product performance. This can be done verbally or by means of a written report, or simple feedback form.
