Attending exhibitions has provided the opportunity for me to work at some amazing venues over the years. Promoting clients food products at these exhibitions requires planning, logistics and good communications to enable the event to run smoothly. At these events you become part of a team and over the years, experience has enabled me to quickly become part of a cohesive crew.
I have worked at a great many of the leading footballs stadiums, race courses and exhibition centres such as the NEC , Birmingham the Great Northern Exhibition Centre, Manchester, Olympia, London, the Great Yorkshire Show and other County Shows.
Regional wholesaler events often take the form of mini exhibitions but sometimes they can be what I term ‘speed dating’ with suppliers and customers. The later is a fact track meeting format where you have to professionally present and deliver important product information in a short space of time.
